Way to be committed! What kind of clothing/gear do you wear to beat the cold? I could use some advice, because I want to stop using the cold weather as an excuse!
I wanted to skip yesterday’s run due to sheer exhaustion, but on my training log I had written a quote for the day that said: “If running wasn’t hard, you wouldn’t do it.”
I use ice as a huge excuse. “If I slip and fall on the ice and hurt myself I won’t be able to run when the ice is gone…” (That’s what I tell myself anyway…)
Yup. My college softball coach used to say, “Excuses are for losers.” That stuck with me
Tomorrow I have my first 5k. It’s supposed to snow (again, like the last two days here). Yuck.
Oh dear… I am truly a fair weather runner. Sucking in cold wind and chugging along on precarious ice is not my idea of a run. Fortunately, the good days far out number the bad weather days. I hear central England got hit with quite the snowfall. Did that affect you? ~Thea
None here (yet!) but aiming to get out today before it sets in again
I’m off to my parents this weekend and there’s snow forecast – I’m due to run 20miles….. it’s going to be a chilly one!

When you live in Park City, UT snow is never an excuse.
It’s just running

I love Shalane.

Yup that’s right! It’s still snowing here too but gotta get movin’ and run!

I second that, don’t listen to your automatic system that tends to let you choose the easiest way or give up at your first temptation. Good luck
